> About the Guide
The Guide was launched in 2000. The principle objective is to provide information about the area to residents and would be visitors alike. It also seeks to promote local business.
The site has proved to be increasing popular, now receiving scores of new visitors everyday from every quarter of the world. Google, MSN, Yahoo, BBC and Ask Jeeves currently rate the Guide as #1 in a search for "Ashdown Forest".
Until fairly recently little information about the Forest was available on the Internet. The site receives no public funding and is partly supported by advertising. It is a non profit community service.
The site received its first major overhaul in 2004. It is designed and maintained by a local company "web and flow" who provide their design services free of charge. They are entirely responsible for our success. Thank you, chaps.
We are proud to provide the world with information about the Forest. From Trinidad and Tobago to Tokyo we thank everyone for their visit.
